Airplane hijackings have been well
known in America since 9/11. These events are tragic and can never be
predicted. In the United States you hardly ever hear of airplane hijackings
from other countries. In the news yesterday I found an article that was interesting.
Ethiopian Airlines’ Flight 702 was hijacked yesterday. I watched part of the
news that night and didn't hear anything about it. I've always been passionate
about aviation, but I hardly hear of any aviation news coming from other
countries besides the United States. Apparently, the first officer may have had
something to do with the hijacking that occurred. The hijackers told the
captain of the airplanes make a different course to another airport. The plane
was almost out of fuel when they arrived and one of the engines caught fire.
Many details of not been released yet. In my opinion, airport security has
gotten much better since 9/11 here in the United States. How can we help on a
global scale to fight hijackings? Even European Typhoon Fighters were deployed
to handle the situation. Again, not many details have been released, but we
should be informed on what's going on and on a global level. Definitely check
out this article and let me know what you think!
